Notice of Public Hearings and Comment Period

Notice is hereby given that the City of Evansville will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 5:00 PM, at the Civic Center Complex, 1 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Room 307, in Evansville, IN. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires a 30-day comment period on the 2019 Annual Action Plan. The comment period will begin on March 27, 2019 and close on April 26, 2019. Written comments should be submitted to the DMD office located at 1 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Room 306 no later than 4:00 PM April 26, 2019.

 The Action Plan includes an estimated total allocation in the amount of $3,265,792 in Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Solutions Grant, and HOME Investment Partnerships Grant funds for the 2019 Plan Year. The City is hereby publishing notice that a copy of its Annual Action Plan, is available online on the City’s website at

The Evansville City Council will hold a Public Hearing to ratify the Annual Action Plan on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 5:30 PM in Room 301 of the Civic Center Complex, 1 NW MLK Jr Blvd, Evansville, IN. The City does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, disability, or national origin. A Message from Executive Director Rick Moore:

Please be advised that offices are closed to the public at this time and until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, staff members have returned to the office to conduct essential functions with clients through phone, mail, and email correspondence.  Precautionary measures are also required of staff while at work including but not limited to social distancing at all times, wearing face-coverings when not able to social distance, hand-washing, increased use of hand sanitizer, and professional office sanitization at the end of each day.
