- Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Waiting List Update for families who applied between July 6-8, 2021:
As of July 20, 2021, EHA’s HCV Waiting List is still being finalized. Anyone who applied online should have received an email confirming his/her placement on the HCV Waiting List.
EHA started entering paper applications into the database for those received within stated guidelines. Any application received outside of these guidelines will NOT be added to the HCV Waiting List. (NO EXCEPTIONS) After all paper applications are entered, those applicants will receive a mailed letter confirming their placement on the HCV Waiting List.
- What should you do as an applicant?
The only thing you need to do is update your mailing address and/or email address if it should change from the time you applied. You are encouraged to update the application using the same web portal where you applied or by using the registration code listed on your written confirmation letter for those who submitted paper applications. Please visit
www.evansvillehousing.org. This is the fastest and most efficient way to update your information. However, you may also mail or hand-deliver your WRITTEN notice of an address change to the following: EHA – Leasing Agent, EHA Community Resource Center, 1321 Edgar Street, Evansville, IN 47710. A gray dropbox is located at this address.
- When will EHA contact me?
Based on the system-generated “lottery” selection process now being used, EHA cannot offer you a time frame when you may be selected. When your name is randomly selected by the software system, you will be contacted at the email address provided at the time you applied. For those of you who submitted a paper application, you will be contacted by letter at the most recent address on file unless you add an email address online using the registration code listed on your confirmation notice.
- Will EHA call me when my name is selected?
No. EHA will contact you using the method described above.
Disclaimer: EHA is not responsible for delayed or undelivered mail; This is why EHA encourages the use of the web-based portal. EHA is not responsible for your failure to respond to notices sent using the most recent contact information on file.
