WHY WORK FOR EHA?

BENEFITS

EHA offers a variety of benefits program that give you and your eligible family members the protection and peace of mind that comes from having access to a truly comprehensive benefits program.

HEALTH INSURANCE

EHA pays a substantial portion of medical, dental and vision premiums regardless of the coverage options you elect. Your benefit payments are deducted for coverage during the same two week period for which you are paid. Your earnings are reduced by your portion of the medical, dental and vision insurance premiums before Federal, State and FICA taxes are calculated, thereby saving you money.​

Medical Plans

EHA provides major Medical/Prescription insurance that includes preventative care, hospitalization and other services to employees and eligible dependents including coverage for domestic partners. (Employee pays 28% EHA pays 72%)

Dental

Employees presently pay a percentage of the premium for the program they choose: single, employee plus one (dependent), or family coverage, with EHA contributing the remaining percentage.

Vision

The Vision plan offer services for eye exams, glasses and contact lenses. 

Life Insurance

Employees presently pay $1.00 per year of the premium, with EHA contributing the remaining premium for a life insurance benefit for the employee in the amount of $20,000 in the event of death of the employee.

INCOME PROTECTION

Supplemental Life and AD&D – Employees may purchase Life and AD&D insurance for you and your eligible dependents.

Short-Term Disability – Employees may purchase Short Term Disability to protect you from complete loss of earning when you are disabled and need time away from work to care for an injury or illness.

Long-Term Disability – Employees may purchase Long Term Disability to protect you from complete loss of earnings when an employee illness or injury continues beyond the Short Term Disability period.

RETIREMENT PLAN

EHA is a member of the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS). Employee participation is mandatory for those who qualify. EHA contributes the requisite employer contribution in addition to an annually determined 75 percent age of the employee’s contribution of 3 % of gross salary. A Tax – Deferred Compensation (457) Program is also offered on a voluntary basis & paid for by employee.

Employee Assistance Program – The Employee Assistance Program provides employees and their families with free, confidential counseling assistance and service referrals to help solve problems affecting their personal lives and job performance.

A Message from Executive Director Rick Moore:

Please be advised that offices are closed to the public at this time and until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, staff members have returned to the office to conduct essential functions with clients through phone, mail, and email correspondence.  Precautionary measures are also required of staff while at work including but not limited to social distancing at all times, wearing face-coverings when not able to social distance, hand-washing, increased use of hand sanitizer, and professional office sanitization at the end of each day.

If you need to submit paperwork to the office, a secure dropbox is now located at the entrance of the HCV (Section 8) Office located at 411 SE 8th Street, Evansville, IN 47713.  You may also use the dropbox at the EHA Administrative Office located at 402 Court Street, Evansville, IN 47708 during working hours only.  (Monday – Friday; 8am-5pm)
